The Advanced Coach Education Program is aimed at those who are more serious about their coaching development and requires coaches to reach a minimum standard of competence in a practical coaching environment. This process begins with the C Diploma, which is deliver by NWT Soccer. From there, coaches who have completed their C Diploma may progress to the B Diploma, A Diploma and PRO Diploma. Additionally, the C Diploma is the entry-level course in which coaches can gain access to specialty courses such as the Children's Diploma, Futsal Diploma, Technical Director Diploma and Goalkeeper Diploma.
C DIPLOMA
The C Diploma Course is designed to enhance coaches' abilities to meet the demands of coaching grassroots soccer. It serves as the initial stage of the Advanced Coach Education Pathway.
About the CONCACAF C Diploma
Transition from National C Licence: As National C Licence courses are no longer offered, the new CONCACAF C Diploma will be available for aspiring coaches. The C Diploma costs $250, it provides enhanced value through increased instructional hours and comprehensive support, far exceeding the benefits of the C Licence.

The B Diploma develops the student coach's capacity to meet the demands of coaching youth and senior amateur players in a development environment. The B Diploma was designed for those coaching Youth Standard Based Leagues, College, University and/or Youth Academy players. Priority acceptance will be given to those actively coaching in those environments.

Licence Validity:
Upon successful completion of the B Diploma, the coach will receive a coaching licence valid for three (3) years. The licence may be maintained by following the Canada Soccer Maintenance and Renewal Process.
Course Fees:
The course fee of $3,150 (as per Canada Soccer) covers a range of benefits, including mentor support throughout the program, access to all course content, in-person classroom and field rentals, tools for in-person and online sessions, and Canada Soccer-branded Nike equipment (excluding boots and trainers). Coaches are responsible for additional fees related to travel, accommodations, meals during in-person sessions, and any costs associated with video recording of practical coaching sessions.

The application window is open from January to March 31 each year. The application form will be turned off at the end of the business day on March 31. No applications received after this time will be eligible for consideration. The review process takes place in April and May with responses provided to all applicants by May 31 at the latest. Selected candidates have 30 days to accept their place and fully submit the course fee.

A DIPLOMA
The A Diploma focuses on developing and refining the student coach’s capacity to meet the demands of coaching elite youth and top-level senior amateur players in a performance environment. The A Diploma was designed for those coaching Elite Youth, College, University and/or Professional players. Priority acceptance will be given to those actively coaching in those environments.

Coaches can expect to commit up to 300 hours to complete the A Diploma excluding any instances where work needs to be revised and re-assessed.

GOALKEEPER DIPLOMA
The Goalkeeper Diploma prepares the student coach to meet the demands of coaching youth and senior amateur players in a development environment.
Target Coach:
The Goalkeeper Diploma was designed for those coaching youth and senior players in an academy and/or team environment. Priority acceptance will be given to those actively coaching in those environments.

The Children’s Diploma was designed for those coaches working actively within Children’s soccer, including full or part-time staff coaches. Priority acceptance will be given to those actively coaching in those environments.
