Position: Summer Camp Coach (Up to 4 positions)

Term: July - August

Salary: $16.20 per hour

Location: Yellowknife

Reports to: Summer Camp Coordinator

The NWT Soccer Association (NWT Soccer) is working to develop and maintain a sustainable framework of territory-wide programs and services for players, coaches, officials, and administrators, ensuring all residents have the support they need to succeed in soccer and futsal.

NWT Soccer, in collaboration with its partners and members, strives for soccer to be a driving force of positive change for residents of all ages and abilities in the Northwest Territories.

Position Overview

The Summer Camp Coaches are responsible for assisting the Technical Coordinator with the delivery of the NWT Soccer Summer Camps.

Activities & Duties

Event Coordination

Assisting with the delivery of the NWT Soccer Summer Camps in Yellowknife.

Preferred Qualifications

Coach Education

Holds, at a minimum, Active Start & FUNdamentals or Learn to Train coaching certification.

Completion of the following online programs:

Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders (Online)

Making Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation (Online)

Making Headway E-Learning (Soccer Specific Module)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability and experience speaking to and facilitating groups.

Additional Requirements

Standard First Aid Level 1, CPR & AED

Satisfactory criminal records check, and vulnerable sector check required.
