Canada Soccer's Club Licensing
Categories
Canada Soccer's Club Licensing Program is made up of five categories developed to be an inclusive, principles-based structure.
For professional clubs in membership the Canada Soccer National Club Licence is granted to organizations who meet the minimum requirements set by Canada Soccer in partnership with FIFA and Concacaf as determined to meet the standards to play in international competition such as the Concacaf Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup™.
For youth clubs in Canada there are four categories:
- National Youth Club Licence
- Provincial/Territorial Youth Licence 2
- Provincial Territorial Youth Licence 1
- Quality Soccer Provider
Standards for Quality Soccer
While there are four categories in Canada Soccer's Club Licensing Program, NWT Soccer is focusing on assisting our clubs attain the first category, which is Standards for Quality Soccer.Step-by-Step Guide for Clubs:
Step 1: Attend information session with NWT Soccer and Canada Soccer.
Step 2: Complete and submit the NWT Soccer - Canada Soccer Club Licensing Information Form to NWT Soccer.
Step 3: Setup Meeting with NWT Soccer to work through criteria and set dates/goals for criteria to be completed.
Step 4: Communicate with your club members to let them know you are becoming a licensed club. Help them understand the role each parent and player will take in the process and how they can assist.
Step 5: Begin working through criteria to be achieved by April 1, 2020.
