Canada Soccer launches FREE KICKS Grant to clubs across Canada

Canada Soccer, thanks to funding from Sport Canada, is pleased to share a new grant opportunity for community soccer clubs across Canada.
The Free Kicks Grant program aims to reduce barriers for all new-to-Canada participants and promote inclusion in organized soccer through club-hosted Free Kicks - Try it Events.
“Following the success of our recently hosted IDEA Day in December 2023, Canada Soccer is delighted to continue contributing to projects that support providing soccer experiences to all Canadians,” notes Sara McConaghy, Director of Community & Fund Development.
The grant application window opens today. Grant funds can be used to host a Try It Event, designed to welcome more new-to-Canada participants, and celebrate inclusion within an organization.
Canada Soccer will select 100 Clubs from across Canada to participate in this exciting initiative. Each organization will receive $1000 of funding to put towards this initiative.

- Applications open January 24, 2024
- Applications close February 14, 2024.
- Recipients are notified by February 21, 2024.
- Organizations host Free Kicks – Try It Events - March 1 – May 31, 2024.
