There will be a captains meeting & rules clinic for the Yellowknife Adult Soccer League (YKASL) 2020 Indoor Season at 7:00 PM on Tue Sept 22nd via a Zoom conference.
Captains will be required to provide their team deposit of $250 before the meeting in order to secure a spot and to be eligible to vote. Location for cheque will be communicated soon. Cheques to be made out to YK ADULT SOCCER LEAGUE.
Team registrations will open online on Friday Sept 25th 2020. The total team fees due for this indoor season will be $3700 (including the $250 performance bond). Team’s fees can be paid ONLY by cheque and must be provided by Tue Sept 29th.
The 2020 Indoor Season is scheduled to commence on Tue Oct 6th.
The league is also now accepting applications for their paid positions of Referee Scheduler and Game Scheduler. If you believe you have the necessary skills to fulfill these duties, please submit your applications to Ioannis Labrakis (yannisvolos@hotmail.com) no later than 4PM Thurs. Sept 24th. Please see job descriptions below.

Game Scheduler:
The game schedule is required to:
- Learn how to use the scheduling software and keep up to date with any changes to the scheduling process
- Have a knowledge of the YKASL
- Schedule teams for two games per week for the season
- Ensure teams are rotating between fields, game times and opponents
- Post-game schedules at least two weeks in advance
- Ensure that all field times allotted to the YKASL are filled
- Respond promptly to and resolve any game scheduling issues that may arise
This position pays $750 for the season. Full or partial payment may be withheld, at the discretion of the YKASL board, should the game scheduler fail to meet part of or all of the scope of work outlined above.
Referee Scheduler:
The referee scheduler is required to:
- Learn how to use the scheduling software and keep up to date with any changes to the scheduling process
- Have a knowledge of the YKASL and the league officials
- Schedule referees for games
- Provide officials with a schedule at least two weeks in advance
- Ensure there are no conflicts of interest when assigning referees to games
- Where practical and reasonable, ensure teams are assigned a variety of referees throughout the season
- Maintain objectivity and fairness when assigning referees to games
This position pays $750 for the season. Full or partial payment may be withheld, at the discretion of the YKASL board, should the referee scheduler fail to meet part of or all of the scope of work outlined above.
